Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
Micki Lyons has officially been offered a six-year contract to act as the permanent CEO of Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD).
The board of trustees moved to appoint her at August’s regular meeting, after having seen her in action as interim CEO for four months. At the suggestion of chairman Mark Erickson, the board decided to make the transition on the basis that the district’s financial situation is in a good place and morale among the staff is high.
Board members were pleased with Lyons’ performance as interim CEO and felt it would be preferable to retain a member of the community for the top role in the district, rather than seek applications from potential CEOs outside the county.
Since that time, legal representation on both sides have worked to create and negotiate a contract, which was presented to the board during executive session on Friday. Following that executive session, the board moved to approve the contract and officially appoint Lyons as CEO.
