COVID-19 Daily Update - October 17

Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased by 142 since yesterday and now stand at 7479. Probable cases have increased by 9 to 1337.

Crook County has had a total of 71 confirmed cases and 10 probables after 2 new confirmed cases were added today. Of those cases, 28 confirmed and 3 probable are currently active.

57 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming.

A total of 5594 confirmed and 965 probable cases have recovered.

Laramie County reported 24 new confirmed cases; Sheridan had 20; Albany and Natrona's confirmed case counts increased by 19; Campbell saw 14 new cases; Fremont recorded 13; Park reported 8; Weston had 7; Uinta saw 5; Lincoln recorded 4; Johnson reported 3 new cases; Big Horn and Crook saw 2, and Niobrara and Sweetwater counties reported 1.

The total number of active coronavirus cases statewide is now 2,200, an increase of 86 over yesterday's 2,114.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, all metrics are "stable" (amber level), except new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, which are both marked as "concerning" (red level).
