Lady Bulldogs continue to spike competition

The #1 ranked Sundance Bulldogs took to the road this past week, playing three games and adding three more wins to their record.

Opening play on Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs were up against #2 ranked Moorcroft Lady Wolves. It was a complete team effort as the Lady Bulldogs spread the wealth at the net with five players recording kills. Sherri Negaard led the way with six kills for the night as the Lady Bulldogs won in straight sets, 25-11,25-14, and 27-25

On Friday the team was on the road again traveling to Newcastle to face the Dogies. In a tighter match, the results were still the same with straight set victories for the Bulldogs. Ty Holloman had an impressive night laying down a scorching 12 kills while Sherri Negaard wasn’t far behind blistering the Dogies with 10 kills of her own.

The final leg of the journey brought the Bulldogs to Big Horn where they faced some stiffer competition. The Lady Bulldogs ran away with the score in game one, 25-6, however the Rams were able to rebound quickly and hand the Bulldogs their first conference set loss of the season, 25-21.

The Lady Bulldogs were able to regroup and respond with solid play all around to take the third and fourth sets and hand Big Horn an overall loss for the night.

With the three wins this past week the #1 Sundance Bulldogs increased their record to 11-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The Lady Bulldogs have only one game this week, as they host the Moorcroft Lady Wolves on Thursday in Sundance.
