Eleanor “Sue” Egan was born Eleanor Jane French January 25, 1925 in Belle Fouche, South Dakota, to Victor and Delia French. She passed away September 20, 2020, of natural causes at her home at Maple Ridge in Freeland, Washington, at an age of 95. Eleanor grew up in Alva, Wyoming and attended Sundance High School.
She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas (Ray) Egan and sister, Naomi Jean (French) Rounds. She is survived by step-children, Dennis Egan of Coupeville, Washington, Doreen (Egan) Reed of Airway Heights, Washington and David Egan of Redmond, Washington; nieces, Grace (Rounds) Semple of San Diego, California and Teddy (Rounds) Jeffery of Sturgis, South Dakota; nephews, Kelly Rounds of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Todd Rounds of Murrieta, California.
Eleanor enjoyed bowling, worked as a secretary and was active with her husband in the US Coast Guard Aux. She will be interred at the Alva Cemetery next to her parents. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at http://www.whidbeymemorial.com.
