Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
The 2020 Alzada Cowboy Poetry, Music and Art Show has been cancelled. The show has been held on the first Sunday of October for 30 years but, due to COVID concerns and other family events, the organizers felt it would be best not to have it in 2020.
Organizers expressed their appreciation to all the loyal support of artists, performers and the large audiences that have gathered “like a family reunion” since 1989 when it was started to celebrate the Montana Centennial. It was cancelled in 2013 due to the Atlas Blizzard.
Proceeds from the event have helped maintain the Alzada Community Hall which is used for community meetings, funerals, parties and as a polling place. Expenses for the hall are ongoing and therefore if you wish to help, donations may be sent to Gay Arpan, Box 38, Alzada, MT 59311.
Event organizers have been contacted by artists, performers and volunteers looking forward to the event so watch for updates about a 2021 show.
