COVID-19 Daily Update - August 19

Wyoming's total lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 have increased today by 59 and now stand at 2909. Probable cases have increased by 8 to 521.

Crook County has had a total of 13 confirmed cases after two new cases were announced yesterday. Of those cases, 3 are currently active.

34 people have died as a result of COVID-19 in Wyoming after 1 new death was added to the tally yesterday.

A total of 2349 confirmed and 437 probable cases have recovered.

12 people are currently hospitalized in Wyoming due to the coronavirus.

Albany, Campbell, Converse, Goshen, Sublette, Teton and Uinta counties each reported 1 more case of coronavirus. Crook, Natrona and Washakie counties each have 2 more cases; Park County has 4; Laramie County has 6; Sweetwater has 6; Carbon County has 8 more cases; Sheridan County has 9 more. Fremont County has an increase of 14 coronavirus cases.

The Health Department shows a decrease of 1 case in Weston County.

The total number of active coronavirus cases statewide is now 610, up 40 from 570.

Of the statewide metrics used to make decisions regarding the virus, all metrics are "stable" (amber level), except new cases and total reported hospital admissions due to COVID-19, which are both marked as "concerning" (red level).
