July 28, 1920
Charlie Baggett and P.J. Christiansen opened the Hotel Garage Saturday and announced that they are in the business to stay. Charlie has many friends in Crook County and will be glad to see any or all of them at any time. Mr. Christiansen will move to Sundance in the near future and will handle his real estate business from this end.
The Sundance school board has employed A.L. Dickenson to act as superintendent of the buildings and school grounds during the coming year. Mr. Dickinson will begin his work on Aug. 1, in order to put the buildings into good condition for the beginning of the fall term. The unsightly walls are to be renewed and other needful repairing and cleaning will be effected about the building.
I.N. Davis of Hulett, a veteran of the Civil War and a pioneer of Crook County passed away Monday at the age of 72 years. Tuberculosis is given as the chief cause of his demise.

That S-Sgt. Ben B. Mahoney who received his discharge July 10, was recently awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement in action in Italy was revealed in a dispatch received this week from the Fifty Army Public Relations section in Italy. Though no specific reason was given in the release, it is assumed that the award was made for his part in evacuating wounded, which was reported in detail some time ago.
That Charley Guidinger has sold his Beulah store which he has operated for many years to Royal Mills of Spearfish, was announced this week. Mills, who is well known as a painter in this vicinity, at one time operated a grocery store at Sturgis and is acquainted with the business; he will also operate the Guidinger bar which was not included in the sale.

Robert Cummings, son of Charles and Shirley Cummings, Devils Tower, was named Wyoming Physician Assistant of the Year at the annual meeting of the Wyoming Association of Physician Assistants. Cummings was nominated and selected for outstanding achievement and dedication to the profession.
Because of the difficulty of getting cowboys to attend the Aladdin Match without receiving points for their performances, the Aladdin Match Committee has voted to go with the Northwest Ranch Cowboys Association. There will be a barbecue on Saturday night in the Aladdin Centennial Park and a street dance on Saturday evening with music by Crossfire. The Aladdin Youth Rodeo will be the weekend before.
