Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Program at Crook County Library

Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Program will be July 1 through Aug. 3 for preschool through sixth grade (the grade you are going into in the fall). Packets will be available for pick up or curbside delivery at the library June 29 through July 1 with logged reading beginning July 1.

Every child who signs up receives a packet, which includes a reading log, bookmark, a book and a dog tag with chain. This year’s summer reading program will be considerably different than in past years.

Every hour read earns a ticket to be put in for a prize basket raffle. There will be six to eight prize baskets.

The more a child reads, the more tickets they earn, and the better chance they have to win a basket. Every hour earns that same child a bead to put on their dog tag chain as well.

Reading logs can only be turned in once a week to collect tickets and beads. Prize baskets will be on display at the library.

The drawing for the prize baskets is set for Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. with winners being notified after the drawing.

There will be NO programming at the library. Miss Bonnie will start back up with virtual storytimes beginning July 1.

There will be age appropriate “Take & Make” kits available for pickup or curbside delivery each week to go along with the reading theme. Please call Bonnie at the library if you have any questions, 283-1008.
