Claudis Carr

Claudis Carr died on May 4, 2020, in Denver, Colorado.

Claudis was born on July 10, 1926, on a ranch in Crook County, Wyoming and had lived in Sundance, Wyoming, since she was two years old. She was the daughter of John and Edna Binney.

She worked for 35 years for the Crook County School District, serving as school secretary, bookkeeper, business manager and Secretary for the Board of Education. Prior to this time, she worked as a deputy in the Crook County Treasurer’s office.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and a 50-year member of Electa Chapter No. 5 Order of the Eastern Star.

Claudis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Hal Roth of Englewood, Colorado; son, Ronald Carr of Seattle, Washington; two grandsons, Reilly Roth of Denver and Rory (Lisa) Roth of Fort Collins, Colorado; and two great grandchildren, Penelope and Rowan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Binney; her husband, Floyd Carr; and one brother, Arlis Binney.

A memorial service will be held on a future date in Sundance. Claudis will be buried next to her husband in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Sundance.
