Kyle Dyer, 27, of Hulett, Wyoming, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in Hulett.
He was born early in the morning on July 1, 1992, in Spearfish, South Dakota, to Kim Somervold. It was a mild day, like his temperament.
Kyle grew up in Spearfish with his sisters, Alissa and Jessica. He was later blessed with his favorite baby sister, Sage. Growing up Kyle enjoyed playing video games, fishing, drawing, Pokemon, riding bikes, harassing his oldest sister and getting into trouble and building forts with Jessica.
Kyle graduated from Hulett High School in 2011. His favorite subject was Carla Snook’s art class. It brought him peace and joy.
There was no woman good enough for the handsome, heart-of-gold guy everyone loved, therefore, he always said he “wasn’t going to waste no money on no woman.”
Kyle had a bold fondness for music. He loved concerts and loud music.
He took pride in his job working the planer, forklift and floor at Neiman Sawmill since 2011 where he worked with many folks that became family to him.
A few of Kyle’s favorite things to do included playing video games with his little sister, his best friend and brother-in-law Dustin, and his brother from another mother, Beau. Also, attending concerts while making his sister, Alissa, the 3rd wheel with Dustin, hiking, climbing, fishing, fireworks, collecting guns, fixing up his pickup and playing with his dog, Erza.
No matter who you talked to, everyone knew Kyle as a genuine kind soul, willing to help anyone and everyone.
Kyle is survived by his mom, Kim Somervold of Hulett; step dad, Art Somervold of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; sister, Alissa Dyer and BFF/brother-in-law, Dustin Sapp of Sturgis, South Dakota; sister, Jessica McCollum and dear friend/brother-in-law Brian McCollum of Moorcroft, Wyoming; sister, Sage Somervold of Hulett; brother-from-another-mother, Beau Brashears of Hulett; nieces, Emma and Lila Sapp; nephews, Noah Sapp and Wyatt McCollum; step brother, Patrick Mollman of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Also special to Kyle were his aunts and uncles, Gail and Dennis Rentz, Karen Miller (Auntie Mudd) and Danny Jean, Herb Helmer, Cindy and Dan Stover, Bob and Teresa Somervold and numerous cousins who loved him dearly.
Kyle is preceded in death by his Aunt Pammy and Uncle Jerry Orcutt, grandparents, Ruth and LeRoy Helmer; grandmother, Bonnie Ginsbach; “Step Daddy” Phillip Mollman and step brother, Scott Mollman.
Due to Kyle’s sick sense of humor, his timing with the coronavirus has been impeccable, therefore, we will be postponing services to a later date to be determined. To ensure the funeral pays tribute to Kyle, the family is humbly requesting support for funeral expenses which can be sent to: Kim Somervold, PO Box 83 Hulett, WY 82720.
