March 24, 1920
Frank Simons of the Beulah country was transacting business in the county seat Monday. Mr. Simons is nearing the green grass season with practically no loss of livestock. He states the condition of winter wheat in his locality is very encouraging with prospect to date of a heavy yield, an encouraging outlook indeed.
It is not only appropriate but very commendable that the Sundance Delphain Society is taking a leading part in helping to establish a public library in Sundance. The society is now busy with not only moral but material aid to the proposition. May they receive the support due.
The commercial club has heard from W.J. Wood regarding the use of his lots on the creek south of the Farrell residence for public park and camp purposes. Mr. Wood with his usual generosity in such matters gave permission to use the ground until such time as other disposition of it is advisable. The city permits the use of two streets, and altogether this will make ample and desirable area for the purposes sought. Such provisions as public camp grounds has come to be regarded as very necessary in these days of automobile touring , and particularly so in places like Sundance.

Construction of the stone background for the Crook County Honor Roll will be started soon and, as it is desired that stone native to Crook County or Wyoming be used, the people of Crook County are asked to bring in such specimens.
Tom Astin has leased the building where B.C. Quint has been operating a recreation hall and is continuing with that business. He opened for business Thursday. Mr. Quint announced last week that he was moving his equipment to Upton where he would reopen.
Frank Mitts was quite painfully hurt last week when the tongue of his wagon dropped into the snow. The stick caught and catapulted him into the air. It is understood that his injuries are not serious, but he has been unable to take his mail route this past week.

Six girls, the contestants in this year’s Miss Crook County Scholarship Pageant, will find out all about the pageant during a Pepsi Party Saturday. Girls who are competing for the title are Marie Baker, Oshoto; Susan Speidel, Sundance; Christine Stoltz, Beulah; Peggy Durfee, Sundance; and Grace Farnsworth and Donna Schuricht, both of Moorcroft.
Two Sundance high school juniors became members of the National Honor Society at Sundance high school Monday night. Entering the group in a candle light ceremony were Laurie Jacobson and Mark Ferrell.

Margaret Lindsey will reach a milestone few people reach when she celebrates her 100th birthday Monday. Margaret was born April 3, 1895 at Odense, Denmark. She was the youngest of six children when her parents sailed to America.
