Chairman, Roger Connett called to order the regular meeting of the Crook County Land Use Planning & Zoning Commission March 9, 2020 at 7:01 p.m.
Amend and Adopt the Agenda
Chairman, Roger Connett asked if there were any amendments to the agenda. Mary Yemington made a motion to adopt the agenda; Terry Wilkerson seconded, all ayes, motion carried.
Approval of the Minutes
Chairman, Roger Connett asked if there were any additions or corrections to the December meeting minutes. Vice-Chairman, Cody Galloway provided a few corrections; he then made a motion to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held December 9, 2019 as amended; Mary Yemington seconded, all ayes, motion carried.
New Business
Public Hearing – Throckmorton Subdivision (One Split)
Chairman, Roger Connett opened the public hearing for the Throckmorton One Split Subdivision application at 7:05 p.m. and asked if there were any public comments from anyone attending the meeting. Discussion was held concerning a few additional plat corrections and the access easements shown on the plat. Lloyd Davis spoke and provided information concerning the access easement for his property which lies north and adjacent to the proposed subdivision. Mary Yemington made a motion to move the subdivision application on to the Board of County Commissioners with the recommendation of approval; Vice-Chairman, Cody Galloway seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Chairman, Roger Connett closed the public hearing for the subdivision application at 7:13 p.m.
County Commissioner, Jeanne Whalen – Natural Resource Plan Update
Chairman, Roger Connett asked County Commissioner, Jeanne Whalen to provide her update. Jeanne Whalen first provided information concerning the new electric transmission line for the ONEOK Aladdin pump station that she had received from the Powder River Energy Corporation meeting. She then stated that Crook County has hired a consulting firm to assist with updating the County Natural Resource plan (County Land Use Plan). Jeanne said that there will be a steering committee formed that would work with the Crook County Land Use Planning and Zoning Commission to gather information for the update.
Public Hearing – Replat of Lots 4 & 5 of the Wendling Minor Subdivision No. One
Chairman, Roger Connett opened the public hearing for the Replat of Lots 4 & 5 of the Wendling Minor Subdivision No. One at 7:30 p.m. and asked if there were any public comments from anyone attending the meeting. Discussion was held concerning a new 60-foot private access easement along the south line of Lot 5, and the current access to the Wendling Minor Subdivision No. One. At the conclusion of this discussion the applicant, Clay Massie asked that his application be tabled and for a continuance of the public hear until further notice. The commission accepted his request for the continuance. No action was taken by the Commission. Chairman, Roger Connett closed the public hearing for the at 8:19 p.m.
Adjourned
Mary Yemington made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Vice-Chairman, Cody Galloway seconded, all ayes, motion carried. The Crook County Land Use Planning & Zoning Commission regular monthly meeting adjourned at 8:56 p.m.
