Warrant issued for man who tried to sell pot to a police officer

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Robert Miller, a Colorado man who was arrested in Moorcroft last year for attempting to sell marijuana to a pair of homeowners – and then to a police officer. Miller failed to appear in District Court earlier this month for sentencing.

Miller was set to be sentenced after pleading guilty to one felony count of possession of a controlled substance. Misdemeanor charges of possession and interference with a police officer were to be dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Miller was arrested on the evening of May 27, 2019 after a Moorcroft Police Officer was alerted that he was attempting to sell marijuana to the residents of a home. He was located outside a business in town, speaking to another male.

A second officer made contact with Miller, who, after a brief interaction, allegedly attempted to sell marijuana to the officer. According to court reports, officers recovered a smoking pipe that Miller admitted he had attempted to throw away from himself and additional marijuana in his personal belongings.
