“Knickerbocker Buckaroo!” That’s the big Douglas Fairbanks hit on the screen at the club hall March 5 and 6. Seven reels, and everybody’s excited. A two-reel Mack Sennett comedy goes with it. Don’t think of missing it.
The Times has received from Congressman Mondell 50 to 75 packages of vegetable seeds for free distribution to parties who will endeavor to make good use of them, each package containing the usual variety of five smaller packages of seed – beans, beet, carrot, lettuce and radish. Anyone who desires a package of these seeds will receive them in welcome by calling at this office and making the desire known.

Arrangements were completed this week whereby Phyllis McLaughlin and Sadie Grubb Richey became the new owners of the Elk Horn Café, having purchased the equipment from Freida Oudin. Both girls are well known in this vicinity and need no introduction to their clientele.
A.B. (Bud) Durfee was elected to the post of president of the Sundance Commercial club at its meeting last Wednesday evening. M.O. Trego was selected as the new vice-president while Charles Chittim was reelected to serve as secretary-treasurer.

A gallant team effort by Coach Dennis Talich’s Sundance wrestlers paid off at Lander last weekend when the Bulldogs were crowned the state’s Class B wrestling champions for the second straight year. The Bulldogs, who led in the point standings most of the way, fought from behind in the finals to nip Moorcroft 89-88 for the team championship. In the 137 lb. match, Tom Pridgeon pinned Dan Zimmerschied of Moorcroft to repeat as state champion. In the critical 185-lb. match, the Bulldogs’ Gary Roadifer came from behind to score a 9-8 decision in the last few seconds over Pete Aimone of Mt. View.
Crook County’s Board of County Commissioners and the county hospital board, at a meeting of the hospital board agreed to proceed with an investigation to determine whether it is feasible for the county to operate Crook County Memorial Hospital here. Action by the officials came after the Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society said it would terminate its lease agreement effective April 30. The Lutherans have operated the hospital since it was first built in 1960.

Three Sundance High School students have been selected for All-State Choir on the basis of a live audition held in Gillette. This year’s all-staters from Sundance are Kaylin Anderson, Jason Farver and Jason Lanning. Lanning has been selected three years in a row but was unable to attend this year. Farver has made All-State Choir all four years in his high school career. This is Kaylin’s first year. She is a sophomore at SHS.
