Bulldog boys dominate

The Sundance boys’ basketball team was back on the road this past week as they traveled to NSI and Hill City. The entire Bulldog bench saw some playing time on Friday night in the 53-11 victory over NSI.

Putting together a solid first half of play, Sundance went into the halftime break with the 30-3 lead. Gunner McLaughlin led the way in scoring for the Bulldogs putting in 12 points while Brandon Davis and Landon Martin controlled the boards, each pulling down five rebounds for the Bulldogs.

The second half of play was much like the first as the Wolves were only able to put up eight more points and the Bulldogs walked away with the 53-11 victory.

The Bulldogs continued on their winning ways as they traveled to Hill City on Saturday to face the Rangers. With another solid four quarters of play and two players scoring in double digits, the Bulldogs were able to pull of the 54-38 victory over the Rangers.

Gunner McLaughlin had another successful night as he put up 19 points for the Bulldogs, nine of them coming from the free throw line. Kye Taylor added 12 points while Craig Chandler controlled the boards pulling down ten rebounds for the night.

The Bulldogs will head into conference play this week as they travel to Wright on Thursday and host Big Horn on Saturday. Bulldog head Coach Nick Olson sees Big Horn as the conference team to beat this year.

They have a great tradition of winning and they know how to compete at a high level. Saturday will be a true test to see where they stand in the conference.
