Game one started out a back and forth of points between the Lady Bulldogs and the Rams, both teams struggling to string something together. A timeout taken by Big Horn with the score of 13-8 hoped to get some momentum going.
However, both teams still struggled and Sundance took a timeout with the score 17-16, looking to rally, and rally is what the Bulldogs did. Behind the seven straight serves of Bulldog junior Baillee Heaster, and the hard hits of Laney Dungey, the Bulldogs were able to pull out a 25-18 win.
Game two started much like game one, with a back and forth of points for the first few; however, it was the Rams who were able to string the first set of multiple points together and take the momentum in their favor. With the score 2-7 in favor of the Rams, Sundance called a timeout, hoping to slow the scoring.
After the timeout, the Bulldogs were able to string a few of their own points together to take over the lead. As the game inched to 25, the Bulldog offense came up with some hard hitters to keep the Rams in their place. Sundance takes game two with a score of 25-16.
Heading into game three, the Bulldogs had found their stride and were hitting from all over the court. Laney Dungey, Ty Holloman and Joleen Pollat continued to swing their arms to bring down some hard hits, while the Bulldogs defense continued to come up with the big blocks.
Taking a 6-0 lead to start, the Bulldogs did not back down and ran away with the 25-17 victory for a 3-0 sweep of the Big Horn Rams.
Travelling to Lusk on Saturday, the Sundance Bulldogs continued to dominate the offensive and defensive side of the net. On offense, Sherry Negaard was a force to be reckoned with as she served a team high of five aces on the night and was able to throw down 12 kills for the Bulldogs. Aftyn Marchant also contributed three aces for no return and Laney Dungey along with Teddi Marchant added two and one respectively for the Bulldogs.
On defense, Nevada Gill had a great night for the Bulldogs achieving 100 percent on her serve receive passing game, while Laney Dungey came up with ten digs for the Bulldogs.
