The Upton-Sundance Patriots took their winning form on the road this past week as they defeated the Southeast Cyclones by a score of 27-0.
The Patriots didn’t break stride as they opened up the first half, putting points on the scoreboard first. Jess Claycomb was the first Patriot into the endzone with a two-yard run, Levi Rudloff tacked on an extra point, and the Patriots were up 7-0 in the first quarter.
The second quarter brought Jayden Caylor and Brad Kruger into the end zone on 3- and 4-yard runs respectively, Levi Rudloff was again able to put the extra point through the goal posts and the Patriots were up 21-0 at the half.
While the Patriots did not score in the third quarter, the fourth quarter brought Kye Taylor into the endzone on a 5-yard fumble return, sealing the final score at 27-0.
The Patriot defense continued to hold their own throughout as the Cyclones did not score throughout the entire game. The Patriot offense rushed for a total of 392 yards on 52 carries, scoring three touchdowns in the process.
This win moves the Upton-Sundance Patriots to 6-1 on the season and 4-1 in the conference. The Patriots will travel to Pine Bluffs on Friday to take on the 2-5 Hornets.
