September was Fall Prevention Month, and falls are the leading cause of death in older adults. Here are some things you can do to help decrease your chance of falls: 1. Keep phones in multiple rooms. That way you won’t slip while rushing to answer the phone. 2. Ditch footstools, throw rugs and other obstacles that you might not see in your path. 3. Buy more night-lights for inside so you can see if you need to get up at night and put up solar lights outside.
Library Programming: TODDLER AND PRESCHOOL STORYTIME on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. October’s themes: “Cowboys/Cowgirls and Their Horses”, “Fossils/Dig Into Reading”, “Firefighters” and “Halloween”. There will not be Storytime on October 2. ADULT CRAFT NIGHT: Monday, October 21, at 6 p.m., come and make a Wooden Serving Tray for your holiday gatherings.
