Lady Bulldogs dominate Wolves and Panthers

The Lady Bulldogs hosted Moorcroft on Thursday night in a Northeast Conference volleyball match. The Bulldogs started out with the momentum and never looked back.

Senior Bulldog Laney Dungey had a hot hand when it came to serving going 22 of 24 with two aces on the night, while Sherry Negaard was tough in the net racking up 10 kills.

Walking away with a 25-18 victory in game number one, the Bulldogs continued to turn on the heat into game two with a 25-13 victory. The Bulldog back row was busy, coming up with 27 digs on the night and stopping any momentum Moorcroft hoped to gain. Game three did not fare much better for the Lady Wolves of Moorcroft as they fell 15-25.

Hoping to take the winning momentum into their next game, the Sundance Lady Bulldogs travelled to Wright on Saturday to face off against the ever-tough Panthers and they did not disappoint. Falling in the first game 15-25, the Lady Bulldogs would not be broken.

Game two saw a team effort fall just two points shy, but they were gaining confidence. Behind the near perfect serving of multiple Bulldogs, the team was able to pull off wins in game three and four, pushing the match into a decisive game five.

After two straight victories and the momentum on their side, the Bulldogs were able to carve out a 15-11 victory to take the match, three games to two. With this victory, the Sundance Bulldogs move to 2-0 in the conference and are sitting in first place.

The Lady Bulldogs have a busy week ahead of them as they face another intra-conference rival on Tuesday playing in Hulett and then hosting the Tongue River Eagles in Sundance on Saturday.
