A little spit and polish

Maintenance Foreman Larry Schommer re-stains the picnic table from the gazebo on the courthouse lawn. The structure is undergoing rejuvenation at the moment to ensure it remains a pleasant place for residents to eat lunch, tourists to stop and soak in the atmosphere and even for couples to get married, Schommer says.

As well as giving the furniture a much-needed coat of stain, the gazebo will boast a new decorative border and Schommer intends to make improvements to its roof.
