Continuing the Crook County News Since 1884
The Black Hills Dairy Goat Association is gearing up for its second dairy goat show on September 21 and the deadline is coming up this week. Enthusiasts will flock from the Black Hills area to show off their breeding efforts; if you would like to join the fun, your entries must be in by September 6.
This year’s event will once again be taking place at the fair barn at the Crook County Fairgrounds in Sundance. It will include two rings for bucks and junior/senior does (separately sanctioned).
Organizers are tentatively planning to include categories for Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Oberhasli, AOP and Recorded Grade. The event will include showmanship and a costume class.
