James Ellsworth Jensen was born on December 23, 1932, in Shelton, Nebraska, to John and Vena (Pickering) Jensen. Jim moved to Wyoming as a boy and loved everything that being from Wyoming had to offer.
Jim married Pearl Montaney on June 24, 1951. Jim told Pearl when they first wed that they’d never raise children or chickens. They never had any chickens, but over the years, six children were born to Jim and Pearl.
Jim lived a full life that included ranching, trucking, logging, upholstery work, leather work, word work and furniture building. In recent years, he ran Aladdin Construction with his oldest son.
Above all that, Jim was a proud husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He often told friends that he loved all of his kids, even when there were moments he shouldn’t have.
Blessed to have spent a lifetime with him are his wife of 68 years, Pearl; his children Monty (Jill) of Beulah Wyoming, Warren of Newcastle, Wyoming, Gene (Betty) of Gillette, Wyoming, Jim (fiance’, Mary Locati of Spearfish, South Dakota) of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Scott (Jana) of Gillette and Marilyn (Doug) Rainforth of Fairmont, Minnesota; and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Kate; and sisters, Flora and Elva.
