Fair Week kicked off on Sunday with the horse show at the arena, as kids spent two days displaying their prowess with horsemanship, reining, ranch riding and much more. The fair officially kicked off the next day with an ice cream social in the shade structure, shortly before the ranch horse competition.
Events still to come include the dairy cattle and goat show on Thursday at 8 a.m., followed by the goat and sheep show at 9 a.m. and the cat show at 3 p.m. Thursday evening will be marked by the Youth Rough Stock Rodeo in the arena.
On Friday, visit the fairgrounds at 6:30 a.m. to be served pancakes by your county commissioners, then stick around for the beef show at 8 a.m., the rabbit show at 1 p.m., the Little People and Their Creatures Parade at 3 p.m. and the guinea pig and pocket pet show at 4:30 p.m. At 5 p.m., the pig wrestling calcutta will open for an evening of mud-encrusted fun.
