Marrieds and Singles - They are already talking with grim determination, each bunch freely expressing their intent to literally wipe the lot with the other. It’s to come off at the south side park Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock sharp. Unusual interest is manifest by the fact that all the stores of this city will be closed during the affray and everybody will be right there fanning for one side or other. And why shouldn’t they? It’s about the first base ball game between the henpecked and hellbenders ever staged in Sundance. Though there has been deep but suppressed feeling of superiority by each to the other. The admission will only be two bits and they are going to give forty per cent of that to Uncle Sam. So you’d better be there from everywhere. And any one of the singles who sees life differently after the game and can get someone else to look the same way should remember that the authority is vested in Rev. Barnes to gently remove him from his solitary ranks.
Lawrence Bryan and Thomas Roark were assessed $10 each by Police Justice Dickenson yesterday evening on a charge of unlawfully handling a calf belonging to M.C. Roberts. The boys are said to have been practicing the purely western art of bulldogging the animal without the owner’s permission.

Jesse Wilford Kennedy and Rex Harold Dillon, both of Sundance, left last Wednesday for the induction station and were taken into the army, the selective service office said.
Members of the Sundance band will march in the parade at the Days of ’76 and play for the rodeo the second day of the celebration. This is especially thrilling for the young folks since the entire show’s rodeo, parade and street scenes will be filmed in technicolor by Warner Brothers for use in their feature, “World Sports Parade in Color” which will be shown in theaters all over the country.
Mrs. Cleo Hopson has taken over the mail route to Four Corners formerly run by Mel Dudrey who is moving to Sheridan where he has employment. Mrs. Hopson is continuing with her work at the phone office, however.

Parker Shoun and Sean Fowlkes are representing the high school wrestling squad in the All Star Meet in Laramie, August 1-4. This is the first time the schools have been represented in the All Star Meet.
Jennel Helmer, a member of the Bearlodge FFA Chapter, placed first in the state “Up With Agriculture” writing contest. As a winner, Helmer received a check for $50 and an award certificate.
