Wagner presented Patriots Award

A local Crook County resident and business owner Gregory D. Wagner was presented with the Patriots Award, on Monday, July 15, 2019. This is the first in the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve ESGR’s series of awards. This award can only be nominated by an employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve, or their spouse. Greg is the owner of G.W. Repair, LLC. In Pine Haven, Wyoming. A local mechanic shop that always has the American and Marine Corps flags flying. Being an honorably discharged U.S. Marine Veteran, Greg has continued his love for the military and his country. Employing a fellow military member is only the beginning. G.W. Repair has always offered a military discount, he is a dealer for Black Rifle Coffee, a Veteran owned business, and a supporter of the Wyoming VFW and the DAV.

Alexander Mues has been a full time employee of Greg’s for over a year, and a resident of Sundance, Wyoming. After high school graduation from Sundance, he proceeded to follow his love of mechanics, and graduated from WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming. He has also been a member of the Army National Guard for 11 years, and received orders last year for deployment overseas. His last full time day with G.W. Repair was May first of this year, but is still considered a full time employee of the business. Alex surprised Greg with this award, not knowing right away if he was going to be accepted by the nomination. Taking the time while away to submit the forms for the Patriots Award to be awarded to Greg Wagner.

The two stay in contact while Mues is deployed. Talking about day to day happenings and always mechanics. They have more than just an employer, employee relationship. They have become great friends, and enjoy joking about the differences between their military branches.
