Warrior

The Lord is his name, and he is a warrior! Ex. 15:3 CEV

A warrior is a brave or experienced soldier or fighter. They engage in varying arenas of conflict for specific or multiple reasons, although there must be a sensible purpose for the interaction or weariness will set in. These battles cannot be only personal or singularly beneficial for the participant. They must go beyond themselves to have real impact. The ultimate Warrior is the King of King Himself, Jesus Christ and the prized position is to be involved in his encounters. All must fight, but the source of success is the realization that the battle is the LORDS.

It is difficult to survive any situation that provides no lasting benefit or solution. Individuals are capable of anything for personal gain and low cost for a short period of time, although the battles that take commitment, have no apparent end or easy solution are the ones that are often avoided. These are the circumstances where laying down a life day after day takes its toll. It is also in this field where many fall, and never reach the end. They at no time get started or live a shallow life without realizing that ability, the meaning is found in the hardness, obstruction and experiencing the apparent ugliness of opposition. The warrior understands it is rarely personal, but always above beyond themselves.

The Promises of God provide the motivation, patience and endurance to move ahead. These may not be visible, but they are guaranteed. They are visions beyond description, as the picture can only be pieced together through the process. It is one that would be avoided if viewed beforehand but cannot be seen until lived. It has lasting effect and value as it sows into a soul what anything less than personal investment could not complete. It is anguish, pain, constant involvement and a moving forward even when all seems lost and backward. It is outside you, and strengthens even when at your weakest. It is a life given not to a cause but a purpose. It is the permanence of a living God not powered by worldly idols.

A warrior rises daily and circumvents the opposition through tears of both joy and pain. It is the glimpse of what is starting to take shape, the partial vision and realization of a masterpiece. The brokenness and near completeness that breathes life into loss. It is love from hate and fullness in exhaustion. Opportunity in chaos and enrichment in sorrow. It is a loss in a battle but never conceding the war. It is real and personal. It is life now with eternal consequences.

It is God. The Warrior.
