Track season gets underway

The Sundance Bulldogs travelled to Spearfish, in the beautiful weather, for their first meet of the season. With thirty-one teams competing in the Queen City Classic, the Bulldogs were up against some tough competition.

Despite the odds, two Bulldog athletes placed and pre-qualified for state in their field events. Senior Tanner Hofland placed fourth at the Classic and prequalified for state in the discus, throwing 136-04. With this distance, Hofland is currently sitting third in the state for prequalified events.

Joleen Pollat took fourth place in the meet and prequalified for state in the shot-put with an impressive 36-09, putting her number one in prequalified events for Wyoming 2A. Finishers in the top 20 are as follows.
