Michael Jack Doll (Mike), age 63, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on April 3, 2019.
Mike had been living with a terminal illness for six years. A major stroke suffered on March 25 proved to be too much to recover from. Following the stroke, Mike was at University Medical Center, Las Vegas.
Though the stroke had caused insurmountable physical problems, Mike was completely "with it" and able to speak. He spent the week reminiscing with loving family members.
Mike was proud of the fact that his work enabled him to travel to five continents. If you knew Mike anywhere in this world, he remembered you and we probably heard a funny story about you last week.
Mike was born in Denver, Colorado on October 20, 1955, to D. Jack and H. Margaret (Walkinshaw) Doll. In 1970 the family moved to Glenrock, Wyoming. He graduated from Glenrock High School in 1973. He was an accomplished swimmer and was on the GHS swim team that achieved state championship status.
After graduating, Mike began working as a roughneck in Gillette, Wyoming. This began his lifelong career in the oil and gas industry.
Mike married Tracey Tyndall of Lac Dubonnet, Manitoba, in 1980, and they had two sons, Garrett William and Nevin Michael.
Mike and Tracey divorced and Mike later married his second wife, Pamela MacIntyre of Calgary, Alberta.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and is survived by his mother, Margaret, sisters Carol and Beverly, sons Garrett and Nevin, nieces Sarah and Jessica, nephew Tyrone, several grand nieces and nephews, many cousins and his wife Pamela and two stepchildren, Brittany and Casey.
"God damn stroke", Mike Doll.
Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Beverly Doll at P.O. Box 1408, Sundance, WY 82729.
