With low temps dipping below -30 over the weekend and into the early part of the week, residents were treated to a late winter bone-chilling cold snap. In addition to making outside chores an excercise in survival, the frigid temps and blowing snow forced late starts at each of the district's schools on Monday.
The current weather forecasts show a warming trend but temps may still remain below seasonal averages as spring approaches.
