    Saturday morning saw the beginnings of a blustery cold and cloudy day as 38 daring souls gathered at the Keyhole Marina for the annual Jackalope Jump. “It was the biggest one we’ve had so far,” reports Special Olympics Coordinator and Coach Kassie Clements.     The Sundance Track team opened their 2021 season at Newcastle this past weekend. Going up against some great competition, the Bulldogs had many of their athletes place in the top five of their events. On the girls’ side, sisters Bailey and Brook Hofland dominated the discus taking first and second place respectively throwing 99’4” and 98’01”.     SHS Boys The Sundance boys’ basketball team traveled to Casper this past weekend to compete in the 2A state basketball tournament. Up against some stiff competition, the Bulldogs were able to walk away with a third-place finish.     This past Thursday was the completion of the 2020-21 wrestling season for the Sundance Bulldogs. Sundance had one medalist as Josh Pridgeon at 195 lbs. repeated his sixth place finish from last year. The Bulldogs qualified five grapplers from the regional tournament to the state tournament.     A registration and information meeting for the Sundance High School Trap Team will be held on Thurs., Mar. 4 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Sundance State Bank Meeting Room on the north side of the post office.     SHS Boys Ending their regular season on the road, the Sundance Bulldogs picked up three more wins to bring a near perfect regular season to a close with a 16-1 overall record. The Wright Panthers were no match for the Sundance Bulldogs on Thursday night as ten Bulldogs contributed to the scoring column.     Josh Pridgeon walked away with a first-place finish in the 195 weight class for the Bulldogs in the regional wrestling tournament this past weekend at Moorcroft.     The Sundance wrestling team participated in the conference meet in Tongue River this past weekend. Due to low numbers, the Bulldog wrestlers combined with the Moorcroft team to fill out a complete team. Leo Lyons was the sole Bulldog with a win for the weekend as he pinned Riley Bass from Tongue River in the first period.     The Freeze Your Fanny Virtual Fun run/walk registration is now open. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s four-mile run and walk will be held virtually.
