    The Sundance Lady Bulldogs finished their basketball season with a fourth-place finish in the 2A State Tournament this past weekend. Going into the tournament the number two seed from the east, the Lady Bulldogs opened play against the number three seed from the west, the Riverside Rebels.     The Sundance Bulldog wrestling team finished its 2021-22 season this past weekend in Casper at the State Tournament. The Bulldog wrestlers captured two medals as Dawson Flahaven (285 lbs.) finished in fifth place and Andrew Davis (132 lbs.) finished in sixth place. Going into the tournament, Dawson was seeded seventh and bested his position by two and Andrew came into the tournament unseeded and was able to crack the top six by upsetting two seeded wrestlers.     The Sundance girls’ basketball team punched their ticket to the state tournament this past weekend, taking second place in the 2A East Regional Tournament. It was a three-game weekend for the Lady Bulldogs coming into the tournament as the number two seed from the north.     The Sundance boys' basketball team added two more wins to their record as the regular season drew to a close this past weekend. The Sundance team traveled to Moorcroft on Friday for their final conference matchup. The Bulldogs set the pace for the night jumping out to a 20-14 lead in the first half of play.     As a relatively mild morning broke, runners gathered at the courthouse on Sunday to take part in the annual fun run appropriately named "Freeze Your Fanny".     With the season winding down, it was a light week for the Sundance Lady Bulldogs basketball team, competing in only one conference game this past week. Going up against the Big Horn Rams for the third time this season, the Lady Bulldogs walked away with a commanding 51-36 conference victory.     This past Thursday, a depleted squad of only three healthy Sundance wrestlers were able to compete at the Powder River Conference meet in Hulett. Those competing were 108 lb.     This past Saturday the Sundance Wrestling team competed at the always-tough 21-team Hill City Invitational. The grapplers fared very well finishing the day with 17 wins and 14 losses.     Due to an overall lack of snow, the Sundance Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to cancel its annual Winterfest celebrations. The Sundance Winter Festival had been scheduled for February 12 but, with less than two weeks to go, the city is conspicuously free of the piles of plowed snow that are usually visible at this time of year.
