The Upton-Sundance Patriots took on the Burns Broncs this past Friday in Burns. It was the Patriots who were first on the board Friday night as their explosive offense pushed their way down the field, setting quarterback Keaton Mills up for a one-yard run into the endzone and putting six points on to the scoreboard for the Patriots. The fall golf season has come to a close as the Sundance Bulldogs participated in the 2A State Golf meet in Wright this past weekend. Overall, the Bulldog golfers all fared well against their competition. It was a late night for the Patriots as lightning delayed the start of their game against the Tongue River Eagles on Friday in Upton. Local pickleball players requested additional support from the City of Sundance last week. Representing the large group of passionate picklers, Susan Worthington made three requests for the coming summer season. The council did not consider the first two requests to be any problem. The old tennis courts near the schools will receive their own trash can for use by pickleball players and kids at the skate park, and the city will spend $720 to provide a portapotty over the next three months for use by the same two groups.
