    The Sundance seventh graders are starting the annual Watkins Fundraiser. The fundraiser will run from October 2-23. Products should be delivered by November 17 unless a backorder occurs. This has been a valuable money-maker for this class for two decades. Watkins has been in business for 150 years.     In response to concerns raised by parents and the community, the Crook County School District has made revisions to its new policy on suicide prevention. “It’s a kinder terminology,” says Superintendent Mark Broderson, stressing that the overall goal is “about making it so it works for the kids and the staff.” The new wording alters the policy to say that a student experiencing depression “may be in need of additional support” to benefit fully from the educational program of the school. The journalism class at Sundance High School proudly distributed the first printed copy of Red & White last week, a four-page monthly newspaper written for and by the students.
