Molly Ryan, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, has earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester. Ryan is a junior majoring in social work. She is the daughter of Scott Ryan and Tami Ryan of Aladdin. The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. The Crook County Farm Bureau Federation has selected the winners for three scholarships for 2021. This year’s winners are Dalton Butler, Joseph Kennah and FaithHoney Anderson. Strata Energy, Inc. has extended the deadline for Crook County high school graduates to apply for Strata’s Community Energy and Opportunity scholarships. Strata scholarships are available to students graduating from a Crook County high school or Crook County accredited home-school program. Since the start of the scholarship program in 2013, Strata has awarded over $23,000 to Crook County students. Students will have until May 20, 2021 to submit scholarship applications. Zachary Davis graduated with International Honors during the Black Hills State University commencement ceremony on Sat., May 8. During the ceremony for the College of Business and Natural Sciences, Davis was granted a degree in chemistry and a certificate in graphic design. Crook County School District has announced that this year’s recipient of its Teacher of the Year award will be Mrs. Tina Inghram, second grade. Inghram has spent a quarter of a century educating kids, with the last 15 of those at Sundance Elementary and 21 as an educator in Wyoming. Crook County youth participating in beef projects will have the opportunity to work with professional cattle guru, Kirk Stierwalt at a show clinic in May at the Crook County fairgrounds. The Harper Memorial Scholarship committee is pleased to announce the 2021-2022 scholarship recipients. The Orville D. Harper Revocable Trust and the Wanda J. Despite students being unable to attend Wyoming Art Symposium last year they came out on top, again. 14 artists traveled to Casper for the 53rd Annual Symposium.
