    Black Hills State University released the Dean’s List for the fall 2022 semester. A total of 687 students maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours.     The future of education in Wyoming could be based on “personalized learning”, if the state opts to follow through with the recommendations released last week by the RIDE Education Advisory Group. Formed by Governor Mark Gordon in 2021, the RIDE (“Reimagining and Innovating the Delivery of Education”) group gathered input from 7000 stakeholders through surveys and held 17 listening sessions in its quest to find the right path forward for education in this state.     FFA horse evaluation team takes on the NILE On Oct. 16 and 17, the Sundance/Bearlodge FFA horse evaluation team traveled to Billings, Montana to partake in the NILE livestock show FFA/4 H judging contests. Harris was the inspiration for "8th of November", a song recorded by country music duo Big & Rich in 2006 to honor veterans of the Vietnam War.     Four students performed with the Northeast District Junior High Honor Choir on Friday, and eight with the Northeast District Junior High Honor Band, at a concert in Big Horn. The students were among a select group chosen for the performance from Big Horn, Sheridan, Upton, Newcastle, Moorcroft and both Gillette junior high schools.     According to this year’s accountability scores, all of Crook County’s schools are at least partially meeting the state’s expectations and have not seen a significant drop in performance scores, despite the disruptions caused by COVID-19. Accountability measures have not been determined since the 2018-19 school year, a two-year pause caused by the pandemic.     The Crook County School District held their annual Bus Driver's Clinic in Hulett Aug. 16, with all route bus drivers and substitute drivers attending.
