    Going up against some tough teams in the Stateline Shootout, the Sundance girls’ basketball team fell short in their games this past weekend. The Newcastle Dogies were in town on Thursday as the Lady Bulldogs opened up the first round of play in the Stateline Shootout. The Bulldogs struggled against an aggressive half-court press put on by the Dogies and were not able to get on the board until 4:10 left in the first quarter.     GILLETTE — Two committees that have been working to create an armed educators policy and regulations in Gillette hope to bring drafts of their proposal to the school board sometime in January.     The Centers for Disease Control are warning the public to be vigilant about washing your hands after petting puppies and dogs. An infection resistant to many drugs has been linked to contact with pet store puppies and has so far been reported in 13 states, including Wyoming. Of the 13 states that have reported seeing cases of Campylobacter jejuni, Wyoming has so far only experienced one case of the total 30.     Governor Mark Gordon has announced the recipients of the 2019 Governor’s Arts Awards. Recipients will be honored at a dinner and awards ceremony on Feb. 21, 2020 in Cheyenne.
