The Bulldog wrestlers opened their season at the Lusk Invitational this past weekend. Four Bulldog grapplers placed in the top five throughout the competition. Lyman Halverson and Shyla Shoun finished in third place. Halverson won with a 9-2 decision in the 120 weight class and Shoun took her victory with a fall over Hallie Fuller from Lingle-Fort Laramie in the 140 weight class. Two Sundance Junior High wrestlers attended Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association (WAWA) 2023 Middle School State competition in Green River on Dec. 10. Luke Halverson competed in the 85-pound weight division, with one win and two losses. SHS Boys The Sundance boys’ basketball team opened their 2023-24 season in Upton this past weekend, taking part in the Upton Classic. The Sundance Bulldogs went up against three 1A teams over the course of the two days. On Friday, the Bulldogs were paired with Riverside and easily walked away with a 50-23 victory over the Rebels.
