  • Committee cuts $60.1 million from recommended education cost adjustment

    CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee voted Monday to reduce the recommended external cost adjustment for K-12 education by $60.1 million. Gov. Mark Gordon will receive the recommendation next month from the committee for an amount of only $10.1 million. If approved as recommended, those funds would go toward energy and supplies costs for the first year of the 2023-24 biennium education budget.     The Sundance Bulldog Cross Country team finished its season, competing in the 2A State Cross Country Meet in Ethete, Sat. Oct. 23. Six Bulldogs competed in the race, each qualifying to run the state meet during the regular season. Senior Andrew Davis finished in a time of 20:53.     US Patriots' regular season came to an end on Friday against a familiar opponent, the Big Horn Rams. Keeping with their winning record, the Patriots walked away with a 40-14 victory and the number three seed going into postseason play.
