The Upton-Sundance Patriots were back on the football field last week as they traveled to Newcastle to face the Dogies. It was a tough go for the Patriots, who, in the end, fell 48-6. The Dogies started the game out strong, scoring twice within the first quarter, taking an early 13-0 lead. This past weekend, the Sundance Bulldog volleyball team traveled to Big Horn to compete in the Big Horn Invite. There were 13 2A teams participating in the invite and the Bulldogs got to see how they would stack up against their competition from the west side of the state. “During the weekend we played most of the 2A teams from the West side of the state. A rock climber is reported to have died after falling from Devils Tower on Sunday. According to Devils Tower National Monument, 21-year-old Stewart Phillip Porter of Eau Claire, WI, sustained major injuries after falling from the second pitch of El Cracko Diablo. Devils Tower Law Enforcement was informed of the accident around 8 p.m. and found Porter approximately 40 minutes later. A Hulett EMS paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene.
