    GILLETTE — A year after its prices dropped below zero, oil seems to be on the rebound, but a lot of work remains to be done under the Biden administration.     Police make arrest in Casper man’s murder CASPER (WNE) — Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a Casper man reported missing in June. Justin Armando Marquez, 40, was taken into custody on Friday, according to the Casper Police Department. The department said on Thursday that it was investigating Ryan Schroeder’s death as a homicide after his body was identified last week after it was found in rural Natrona County.     The Upton-Sundance Patriots opened their 2021 season under the lights at Ferguson Field against the Lead-Deadwood Gold Diggers. In a commanding 54-21 victory, the Patriots opened their season right where they left off last year.   • Bus drivers attend clinic

    The annual Crook County Bus Drivers Clinic was held in Hulett on August 19, with 40 drivers attending. Drivers completed their six-hour, state mandatory training, while refreshing their loading and unloading practices, evacuations and district policies. Trainers from the Campbell County Transportation Dept. were on site to help with all trainings. Local area businesses provided much appreciated door prizes.     The Sundance Bulldogs outran the rainstorms, competing in the Northern Hills Invitational in Spearfish Fri., Sept. 3. Senior Andrew Davis ran his 5000-meter race in a time of 20:35, while junior Kort McLaughlin finished 21st in a time of 21:30. Davis’ finish pre-qualified him for the 2A State Cross Country Meet in October. The freshmen competed in a 4000-meter freshmen division. Angel Villegas finished 7th in a time of 16:08.
