    1 Years Ago August 26, 1920 Streets Commissioner Hooper has been doing some good work the past few days in cutting out some of the bumps on street crossings. The prevailing wind storms had swept away the filling, leaving crossings too high for safe travel. A rock ballast is being laid, covered with an earth filling.
