    It’s spring time, so that means Prom time! The Post Prom Committee has been busy getting ready for the after-prom event being held at the Elementary Gym at midnight following the dance on April 9, 2022. Activities will include laser tag, safe archery, corn hole, casino card games, karaoke and a photo booth. Food and beverages will be provided in a safe and fun environment.     The Western Legacy Foundation, formerly known as Black Hills Stock Show Foundation, has announced the 2022 scholarship winners. The foundation was established in 1993 to administer youth scholarships and grant programs to benefit communities in our region and organizations that support the agriculture industry.     A public hearing is coming up next month for proposed rules that the county will use to guide distribution of the remaining $200,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding left in its coffers, as well as the second installment of just under a quarter million dollars that’s expected later this year.   • Rapid City woman given deferred sentence for stealing pickup

    A Rapid City woman has been given a deferred sentence for a felony count of theft after taking a pickup that had been left running in a parking lot in Beulah. Oksana Brush pled no contest to the charge. On November 21, a Crook County Sheriff’s Office deputy received a report of a stolen pickup. The witness informed the deputy that he saw a female, later identified as Oksana Brush, walking down the frontage road.     A distinguished member of Crook County peacekeeping team heads into a well-deserved retirement this week. Wyoming Highway Patrol celebrates K-9 Ally, whose eight-year career has included numerous contraband seizures. K-9 Ally was assigned to Trooper Josh Underberg.
