Revelers enjoyed good food while sipping on hot drinks and cold beer, as the rac...

    Sarah Pridgeon|Feb 20, 2020

A job posting for the administrator position within Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) was the first indication that the Board of Trustees is considering the removal of CEO Nathan Hough. According to its president, the company contracted to manage the district has been instructed to get rid of Hough – or face the axe itself. At time of going to press, the only indication that Hough has been or will be removed is the existence of the online job ad. A listing for a “Chief Operating Officer” located in Sundance, Wyoming, appears to ha...

  • Legislative Update

    Tyler Lindholm, Rep. HD-1|Feb 20, 2020

Hello from Cheyenne! We wrapped up the first week of the 2020 Budget Session on Friday evening. It was a busy week, to say the least. Nearly 400 (398, to be exact) bills were filed in the House and Senate this session. This includes 256 bills in the House and 142 in the Senate. Friday, February 14 was the deadline for bills to be introduced for debate, so no additional bills will be filed this session. During a Budget Session, legislative rules require a 2/3 vote for non-budget related bills to...

  • This Side of the Pond

    Sarah Pridgeon|Feb 20, 2020

I’m sure the first thing that went through your mind when you arrived at the Sundance Winter Festival was: “Why do I not see Sarah at the starting line in her ski boots?” It’s a reasonable question, so I’m very glad you asked, and the answer is that I have a miserable history with skiing. My relationship with skis is, in fact, appalling enough that my participation would be bad for everyone’s health. It would at the very least be a risk to my own, and I wouldn’t make any promises to the folk l...

  • Boys continue winning streak

On Friday night, the Sundance Bulldogs invited the Wright Panthers to be their Valentine for the Pink Out game. Sundance went on a 10-0 run in the first four minutes of play before Wright decided to take a timeout in hopes of slowing down the momentum. Unfortunately, the break in play only allowed the Bulldogs to add fresh legs to the floor and continue to increase their lead, 25-0, as the...
