    CASPER – Executives of a bankrupt coal firm in the Powder River Basin received over half a million dollars in bonus payments in the year leading up to the company’s bankruptcy filing, court documents reveal. Lighthouse Resources paid 11 “insiders” within the company and its subsidiaries a total of $3.3 million, including at least $702,500 in bonuses, in the 12 months before filing for bankruptcy.     Fremont County lawmakers propose adding unborn children to murder statutes RIVERTON (WNE) — An effort to add protections for unborn children to the state’s murder laws has considerable support from Fremont County delegates. If it becomes law, Senate File 96 would attach murder chargeability to a defendant whose attempted or actual murder resulted in the victim’s unborn child dying.     SHS Girls As the season begins to wind down, the Sundance girls’ basketball team hit the road for round two of conference play against the Tongue River Eagles and Big Horn Rams. Traveling north on Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs were once again facing the Eagles. Looking to get the same results as the previous week, the Lady Bulldogs opened up the first half with a 14-7 lead.     The Sundance wrestling team participated in the conference meet in Tongue River this past weekend. Due to low numbers, the Bulldog wrestlers combined with the Moorcroft team to fill out a complete team. Leo Lyons was the sole Bulldog with a win for the weekend as he pinned Riley Bass from Tongue River in the first period. The wrestlers will be competing at the regional tournament in Moorcroft on Saturday. Matches start at 10 a.m....

    Upton/Sundance Patriot team members Wyatt Gillespie and Brad Krueger have been named as North Team members of the 48th annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl. The North team will be coached by Cody’s Matt McFadden. His assistant coaches include Trent Pikula – Thunder Basin, Jim Talich – Cody, Kirk McLaughlin – Big Horn, Larry Yeradi – Wright and Zeb Hagan – Meteetsee.     On February 3, the Crook County Special Olympics team competed in their Winter Area Games at Terry Peak. The State Winter Games held in Jackson, Wyoming were cancelled this year but there will be a virtual competition in which athletes’ times will be entered against others from around the state.
