    SHS Boys vs. NSI The Sundance Bulldogs were able to hold NSI to single digit scoring for three quarters as they pulled off a 57-30 victory on Friday night. While it was an excruciatingly slow start to the game it was not from lack of effort on either team.     The Sundance wrestlers have been busy this past week wrestling in Wright in a five-team dual tournament, hosting a three team mixer and traveling to Newcastle for the Invitational. While on the mats in Wright, the Bulldogs, as a team were able to go 1-3, beating their regional foe, Saratoga. The grapplers were back on the mats on Tuesday hosting a three team mixer with Belle Fourche and Hulett.     The Sundance Bulldogs kicked off the New Year playing host to the Newell Irrigators on Thursday night. Looking to extend their win streak to three, the Bulldogs started out strong in the first quarter with Lane Gill knocking down two big shots from behind the arc and putting the Dawgs up 12-7 after one quarter of play.     Bulldog Boys The Sundance Bulldogs opened play at the Stateline Shootout on Thursday night against the Newcastle Dogies. Newcastle was off and running with the tipoff while Sundance was left to play catch up against this quick team. As the first half wound down, the Bulldogs found themselves down, but not out.     The 2018-2019 basketball season opened up at the Upton Invite this past weekend. The Lady Bulldogs were up against the Midwest Oilers for their first game. The first quarter started out strong for the Lady Bulldogs as they were able to put up 35 points in the first half. Bailey Hofland and Sherry Negaard led the way with scoring, each putting up 10 points on the night while Jolleen Pollat wasn’t far behind, putting in 8.     The boys basketball team opened up play this past weekend at the Upton Invite. Their first opponent, the Midwest Oilers, were no match for the Bulldogs as they came out on top with a 57-25 win. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Kye Taylor and Tanner Hofland, who each put up 11 points in the game, followed by Landon Martin, who contributed 10.
