CASPER — How does one call center handle the poison control needs of three states and two additional regions? Well, 20 employees at the Nebraska Regional Poison Center manage to make it work — 24/7, every day of the year. The Omaha-based center takes in poison-related calls from Wyoming, Idaho, Nebraska, American Samoa and the Federated States of Micronesia. CASPER — A federal judge has halted the implementation of new Title IX rules in Wyoming, Alaska, Kansas and Utah. A lawsuit, filed in May, was initiated by a coalition of states and organizations, including Moms for Liberty, Young America’s Foundation and Female Athletes United. CASPER — State Superintendent Megan Degenfelder has traveled to Washington to join other states in opposition of President Joe Biden’s new Title IX rules. Wyoming is just one of more than 20 states trying to sue the Biden Administration for changes to the federal statute that provides equal protections regardless of sex in schools.
