Virginia Louise (Erland) Hlavka, 39 of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 9, 2014.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Old High School Gymnasium in Sundance, with Pastor Dave Jagemann officiating. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery rural Crook County, WY. The family would like to invite Virginia’s friends to the courthouse basement for fellowship following the burial.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at the Sundance State Bank to benefit Virginia’s children’s education. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 351, Sundance, WY 82729.
Virginia was born December 31, 1974 to Donald E. and Phyllis (Orwick) Erland in Spearfish, South Dakota. She attended school at Spearfish Seventh Day Adventist Elementary, Belle Fourche Middle School, Newell High School and graduated from Elgin High School in Elgin, OR in 1993. Her eldest son, Leaf Eryk Erland was born March 18, 1992; daughter Lacy May Finn was born July 16, 1998. Virginia married Eric Finn on August 20, 1999; son Levi Marvin Finn was born February 9, 2000. Virginia married Pete Hlavka on October 15, 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Hlavka of Sundance; her children, Leaf, Lacy and Levi of Sundance; granddaughter, Caprice Rose Marie Erland of Newcastle, Wyoming; her father, Don (Kami) Erland of Upton, Wyoming; mother, Phyllis (Mike) Southard of Pine Haven, Wyoming; sister, Anita (Barry) Lawson of Bald Knob, Arkansas; brothers, Jeremy (Amber) Kiel and their children, Jonas, Colton and Kimber of Buffalo, Minnesota, and Sid Erland of Upton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends.
