Virginia Jean (Edmondson) Kiplinger, formerly of Sundance, Wyoming, went Home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on July 27, 2012. She was 82. Virginia was born on February 1, 1930, in Deadwood, South Dakota, to Elton and Ann (Kniep) Edmondson. On August 18, 1948, Virginia married John Ivan “Kip” Kiplinger in a scandalous elopement. To this union were born six children, John (Connie) Kiplinger of Mesa, Arizona, Jay (Jennifer) Kiplinger of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Ann (Tom) Banta of Kemmerer, Wyoming, Jean (Dan) Bunner of Crescent Valley, Nevada, Wendy (Reese) Lamb of Sundance and Kandace (Shane Cook) Gage of Poland, Ohio. Virginia is survived by all of her children; her sister, Marjorie (Terry) Hurley of Glenview; her brother Roger (Pat Byrd) Edmondson of Mesa; along with nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Burial will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Future memorial services are being planned.
