Tigers dominate Homecoming game

It was a tough day for the home team on Friday as the Lusk Tigers rolled into town and came away with a lopsided 36-0 win over the Bulldogs football squad.

Lusk put up a total of 391 yards, 333 of which came from their rushing game they moved to an overall record of 5 – 1.

Albert Lenerville led the Bulldogs’ rushing with 30 yards on 16 carries. Ben Stoddard went three for 11 through the air, adding 30 yards and one interception. Trent Peplow hauled in two of those passes which totaled 26 yards for the sophomore receiver.

On defense, it was again junior linebacker Kory Butts who led the charge, notching 20 solo and 10 assisted tackles. Freshman Bulldog Skyler Wagaman mad 8 solo and two unassisted tackles.

The Bulldogs (2 – 3 conference, 2 – 4 overall) will try to even up their record with a pair of upcoming away games to finish out the regular season. The Dogs travel to Hill City for a match up with the Rangers (2 – 4) at 6:30 p.m. this Friday. The Dogs then travel to NSI (0 – 5) on Friday, Oct. 21 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
