Shirley Ruth Ogden Greer, 90, passed away at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell, Wyoming, on, May 7, 2012, after a short illness.
Shirley was the youngest born on their homestead ranch in Sundance, Wyoming, on November 29, 1921, to Chester and Dorothea Ogden. She married Orville Greer in 1938 in Deadwood, South Dakota. They had two children, Beverly McDarment of Lovell and Phillip Greer of Casper; three grandchildren, Jeff Trumbull of Sterling, Colorado, Rex Trumbull of Torrington, Wyoming, and Craig Trumbull of Lovell; three great-grandchildren, Britt, Dane, and Breanne Trumbull; and one great-great grandchild, Jayda Floyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; brother, William Ogden of Idaho; and sisters, Doris Dowler of Colorado and Amy Purinton of Washington.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell was in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.haskellfuneralhome.com.
